Posted by Paul Stevens on February 19, 2010

The first thought that comes to mind while discussing a wedding is its venue. The venue, whether old fashioned or modern, always sets the mood for the wedding, which in turn is reflected in the photographs.

Bridal photography is a critical part of the marriage ceremony and the photographer must be specifically told about what the couple’s expectations are. A good bridal photographer must know how to capture the beauty of the bride and the venue in his pictures. It is a difficult balance to strike and the photographer requires a lot of experience to be able to do it right.

Different venues differ a lot in their features and facilities and all of them are exclusive in their own way. Traditional church weddings are as much in vogue as marriages in modern venues. The religious venues are usually very rich in architectural beauty, which presents a good chance to wedding photographers to click visually appealing photographs.

However, it is difficult to use the insides of most venues for bridal photography. In such a scenario, a beautiful outdoor site near the venue can be chosen as a spot for bridal photography. It is preferable if a skilled photographer can escort you in the search of an ideal venue, because he is the one who rightly knows what makes a marriage venue appropriate for wedding and bridal photography.

Actual Day Photography In Singapore

Posted by Ray Wong on February 18, 2010

The wedding couple are the two most important people on a wedding day. To get some excellent portraits, the photographer should seclude the wedding couple from the celebration for a while to capture the intimate moments after the ceremony. This will give the wedding couple some time away from the wedding as well.

The portrait session will give the photographer enough time to spend with the wedding couple to capture the pictures. But this does not always happen since time is rarely a luxury anyone has; on the actual day. The time taken for pictures can well vary from an hour to no time at all. It can take up to an hour for the photographer to take the pictures.

The photographer will require some time with the bride and groom, but when is a good time?

Most photographers tend to believe that the window before the reception is very suitable for portrait photography, since the couple would still look fresh at that time.

Sometimes the bride and groom would want to start the portrait shoot even before the ceremony says Bradley Hanson, award winning photographer. He generally starts by photographing the bride getting ready in such events.

Taking good quality photographs at an event is a rare skill. Unlike most other types of photography, the person capturing an occasion hardly has any control over the way the event unfolds or how the people react. Covering an event asks for a lot of talent, and the photographer needs to be able to handle tricky situations. The most important thing is that there are no retakes for an event photographer.

There are some important things that you need to know of before you go ahead and choose an event photographer.
